How long have you been modelling?
I have been modelling now for over a decade. I know! That may date me a bit, but I don’t really mind. It’s always been something I love to do and now I am dipping my toe into acting after a year long career shift as a TV Show host.
Where are you located and who are you signed too?
I live in Vancouver and I am signed to Ignite Artists!
What made you so interested in volunteer work and charities?
Growing up we had a huge emphasis on giving back to our community where I was raised, and it stuck with me my whole life. My parents always looked for ways that they could help others and I saw how many people really are in need but either do not have a voice in today’s society unfortunately or they do have a voice and are being overlooked. I kept that interest in helping others through the years because I truly feel that over time, we can create a future where the world we leave behind is better than what we have now.
Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging because I knew I wanted to get a larger audience aware of my platforms, interests and events. I’m involved in a number of different charities and work with different companies year round and there is just never enough awareness for the causes close to my heart or spotlight for businesses that I love working with. I’m very passionate about what I do and I really wanted to share that. As well I have a huge interest in beauty, fashion and lifestyle.
What is your diet like on a day to day basis?
I usually stick to the same meals. I love a good bowl of oatmeal with berries in the morning and a large portion of veggies with some protein for lunch. Dinner is much of the same. I am always snacking on nuts, veggies or fruits during the day and I always indulge in a bit of chocolate by the end of the day. I am never very strict with myself regardless of competing or modelling. Being vegan means that I rarely have to worry about my calories simply because I focus mainly on getting my vegetables in. I believe life is about balance and eating for health is always my main priority.
What is your favorite protein supplement?
I am a huge Vega drinker myself. I know lots of people don’t really enjoy the taste. I do and I love the fact that I don’t get bloated and it’s available in nearly every major grocery store.
What is your fitness routine like?
I really love running, biking and weight training, yoga and a bit of crossfit here and there. So my routine really varies. I really enjoying lifting weights though, that’s probably my favourite type of workout to do.
